Gamer Singles Dating is a dating site for gamers that you use in a web browser or as an app on your phone. You make a profile, the site suggests matches every day, and you message the people you like. Here is everything a member gets, what is free and what comes with VIP and VIP Plus.
Where you can use it
On a computer, it runs in any modern browser. On a phone, the mobile site can be added to your home screen and works like an installed app, including when your signal drops. Native apps for iPhone and Android are available in selected markets. Your account, messages and matches are the same wherever you sign in.
Your profile
Your profile is where gaming does the talking. Add photos, a bio and the interest labels for the genres and platforms you play: FPS, MMO RPG, MOBA, Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, PC, retro consoles, VR and more. You can also say what you are looking for, from a long-term relationship to friendship, which the matching takes into account. Badges appear as you use the site: Verified once you pass the free ID check, and others such as Chatterbox, Heartthrob and Most Popular as people respond to you.
How matching works
Every day you get a fresh set of suggestions. The matching looks at the age range you set, gender and who you are looking for, distance, how recently people have been active, the kind of relationship you want, lifestyle habits such as drinking and smoking, your interests, and belief where you have shared it. It finds people worth a look; the conversation is yours to start.
The feed, chat rooms and groups
Beyond one-to-one messages there is a feed where members post statuses, photos and longer posts, comment on each other's, and join polls and quizzes. VIP members can also join the members-only chat rooms and set up private group chats for up to 50 people, free members included, which is handy for organising a game night or a meet-up at a convention.

What VIP Plus adds
VIP Plus puts you first. Your profile sits at the top of each potential match's daily suggestions, your messages and likes are shown before others, and you get access to a set of exclusive matches. Two add-ons can be bought on top: a profile boost, which shows you to every active member in your area for a while, and Super Match, a highlighted message your match always sees first and can reply to straight away.
Checks that keep it real
ID verification is free for every member and puts a badge on your profile. If you would rather not use documents, a short live video check with a moderator does the same job, and our team can also validate a profile by hand. Questions about how it works
Do I need to download anything?
No. The site works in your phone's browser and can be added to your home screen like an app. Native apps exist in selected markets if you prefer one.
Can free members message people?
Yes. Free members can send a limited number of messages each day and can read and reply to messages from VIP and VIP Plus members.
Do I have to verify my ID?
No, it is optional and free. A verified badge does tend to make people more comfortable replying, so it is worth the few minutes.
Is it only for dating?
Most people are here to date, but you can say on your profile that you are open to friendship, and the matching takes that into account.
